This Melbourne Storm 2022 Mens Indigenous Jersey will show your team spirit and let you be bold. The bold and visible design is ideal for all your outdoor activities.
Melbourne Storm is proud and happy to present the 2022 Indigenous Jersey. Coree Thpe designed the jersey. Coree is both a Yorta Yorta Gunnai Gunditjmara Wurundjeri person and an artist. Coree used the Rainbow Serpent to inspire his creation. Coree has been an avid Storm supporter over many years. His leadership and community involvement at Dardi Munwurro has strengthened that connection. Dardi Munwurro (an indigenous organization) has a strong relationship with the club. Storm members include players, coaches and staff as well, as members of the club, and fans. The design of the 2022 Jersey is inclusive. Coree has used a familiar story from the Rainbow Serpent’s origins to tie Storm into the club’s history in the NRL’s first twenty-four years. The story is connected with Storm’s journey from Australia to Australia and serves to symbolise how regeneration will take place for each season. Storm’s NRL year of active participation is represented by the jersey’s yellow and orange stripes. The orange lines denote years when Storm was a Grand Finalist. The purple lines refer to the NRL’s players and ribs. Each side of the artwork contains diamonds that represent Melbourne Storm’s women, men, and teams. Every year is like a snake. It’s the losing of players and other people, but it doesn’t stop the journey. Coree shared, “It is stronger. “To get to the place you want to be, you must first know where you are. Storm does this well.
